Many believe that a spoonful of honey a day can do wonders for our wellbeing. Well, imagine if that honey was part of a luxurious soap you could lather onto your skin. Honey soap is real, and honey soap benefits are more substantial than you might expect.
If you’re a regular here, you’ll know that I love trying out new natural skincare products, and I’m a passionate advocate for authentic manuka honey. You can find my previous article about the potential uses of manuka, particularly for skin and hair. Today, I wanted to explore that further by looking more specifically at honey soap. I was impressed by the wide range of products I found and spent hours comparing products. Hopefully, one of these luxurious honey soaps will offer the skincare glow-up you’ve been looking for.
I carefully research and consider each product before choosing the best and most useful ones. If you click on a link and buy something, I may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This does not influence my choices in any way.

Before we take a look at some of those brilliant honey soap products I found, let me explain some of the benefits of using this honey soap as both a body and facial cleanser.
What Are The Benefits Of Honey Soap For Our Skin?
Honey has a wonderful range of potential benefits when applied to the skin – from moisturization and anti-aging to wound healing and general cleansing. Honey is highly antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, making it soothing and effective. It is also rich in antioxidants and contains trace amounts of various vitamins. While there are benefits to applying honey directly to the skin, it’s not the most convenient option. That’s why the best natural soap companies now use honey in their bars.
When creators pair honey with the right oils and natural ingredients, they get a bar that allows for a soft, cleansing soap and a more enjoyable experience. We can be more mindful as we build up the lather and rub it into our skin. We can enjoy the texture and scent as we bathe or shower, adding to that feeling of self-care. A high-quality bar soap will be effective, tactile, and long-lasting. However, there are also body washes and hand washes if you prefer.

Can We Use Honey Soap On Our Face?
Yes! The benefits of honey soap go further than enriching moisturizing body washes and bars of soap. The healing properties of honey mean it has great potential for reducing the impact of acne. Therefore, brands with formulas for teen face washes may be more effective. The effective use of honey in facial soap bars can also help to decrease the appearance of wrinkles, brighten skin, and help soothe dry areas. As with all products, you’ll want to be sure that the item is sold as a facial soap to be sure it’s gentle enough.
Using honey soap on its own is always going to bring positive results when you have a quality product. However, as you’ll know from our explorations into other natural products, it never hurts to add additional ingredients. The best brands will enhance their face soaps and other bars to improve performance. Here are some examples.
4 Beneficial Honey Soap Combinations
If you’re looking for a soap that is especially effective as an anti-inflammatory solution, you can’t go wrong with turmeric. People use turmeric in face masks to help soothe the skin and improve its glow. Adding turmeric to honey soap can only amplify its potential.
A facial product I particularly like here is the Kojic Acid Turmeric Soap with Honey. Don’t be alarmed by the word acid. This is a naturally occurring by-product of fermentation and can help with skin pigmentation issues. Therefore, this soap bar can feel even more rejuvenating with regular use.

Many natural skincare enthusiasts will talk about the advantages of putting milk on our skin due to the retinol and vitamin D. The good news for all those after a natural, plant-based approach is you can get vegan milk and honey blends. Coconut milk will always be popular as a moisturizer with a great scent.
The Good Soap Coconut Milk And Honey bar is a wonderful example of how nourishing these soaps can be. The company uses thick and creamy milk alongside the antibacterial honey and plant-based oils for a 100% natural solution. Buyers love the lather and the smell. You can also get a version with a travel tin!
Speaking of vegan milk, there is also soothing oat milk. Oats have long been used in skincare for healing because they are so kind to the skin. Real oats can help with exfoliation, but oat milk and extracts are also beneficial in bars of soap. This option is great for those who worry about complex formulas and sensitivities.
Here, I picked a soap from a well-loved Devon company called Clovelly. Their honey and oat soap is designed for dry and sensitive skin and contains no additional irritants as there are no essential oils. It’s a pretty simple formula with honey, oats, olive oil, coconut oil, and sustainable palm oil, and that’s reassuring to know.
Finally, there’s the benefit of using lemon with honey. If this sounds a little more medicinal than luxurious, that’s understandable. You will, however, get a great clean from these soaps. The antibacterial properties of the lemon can enhance the power of the honey soap and provide a fresh scent. Companies that use lemon in honey facial treatments may also find it enhances the anti-aging effects and skin brightening.
Green People make the most of these ingredients in a handwash. I know handwashes aren’t always as popular because of the waste and sensory experience. However, I had to mention this one because it specifically uses manuka honey in a certified organic formula containing orange oil and Aloe Vera.
These products are the highlights of my research and brilliantly represent the diversity of natural honey soap products on the market. If you’re new to natural soap, check out my guide on how to buy that before you get started. For now, I hope you enjoy your new honey soap, and I’ll be back with more recommendations soon.
